Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of RAMS Builder (the “Service”), operated under the trading name Risk and Method (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Placeholder notice: This document is a plain-English starting point and has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Before relying on it commercially you should have it reviewed by a qualified UK legal advisor.

1. The Service

RAMS Builder helps UK construction users draft Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). The Service is a planning aid only. Generated documents must be reviewed, edited and approved by a competent person before being relied upon on site.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or over and authorised to act for the business you represent.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
  • You are responsible for the content you create, save and share through the Service.

3. Subscriptions and billing

  • The Free plan is available without payment subject to fair-use limits shown on the pricing page.
  • Paid plans (Pro Monthly £12/month, Pro Annual £99/year) are billed in advance in GBP via Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the in-app billing portal.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.
  • Prices and limits may change with reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to break the law or infringe third-party rights.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape or attempt to disrupt the Service.
  • Upload malware, illegal content, or content you do not have the right to use.
  • Resell the Service or share a single account between multiple individuals.

5. Health and safety disclaimer

RAMS Builder generates suggested hazards, controls and method steps from generic UK construction libraries. It does not replace site-specific assessment, CDM 2015 duty-holder responsibilities, or the judgement of a competent person. We accept no liability for incidents, losses or non-compliance resulting from documents produced by the Service. You remain fully responsible for the accuracy and suitability of any RAMS used on site.

6. Intellectual property

We retain ownership of the Service, its libraries, code and branding. You retain ownership of the RAMS documents and company data you create. You grant us a limited licence to process that data to provide the Service.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms or for abusive behaviour.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you under these Terms is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
