Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This page explains how the Risk & Method 14-day trial, cancellations and refunds work. Email us if anything is unclear before you subscribe.

1. Free trial

New customers may start a 14-day free Pro trial. Payment details are required at sign-up but you are charged £0 today. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, your selected plan starts automatically after 14 days.

2. Cancelling a subscription

  • You can cancel a Pro subscription (monthly or annual) at any time from the in-app billing portal (Account → Manage billing).
  • If you cancel, you'll keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
  • We do not pro-rate refunds for the remainder of a billing period.

3. Consumer right to cancel (UK)

Where you are a consumer (not a business), you have a statutory 14-day right of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By starting to use the paid Service immediately on subscribing you expressly request that the service begins within the cancellation period and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed for a billing period. For unused portions, contact us within 14 days of subscribing for a pro-rata refund.

4. Business customers

Where you subscribe in the course of a business, refunds are at our discretion outside the cancellation flow described above.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry. If retries fail, your subscription will be marked past-due and eventually cancelled. You can update your card from the billing portal at any time.

6. Disputes

Please contact support@riskandmethod.com before raising a chargeback so we can resolve the issue quickly.
